Granbury, Texas — In celebration of National Doctor’s Day, Lake Granbury Medical Center (LGMC) is proud to continue their annual tradition of giving back to the community by donating $5,000 to United Way of Hood County. This marks the third year in a row the donation has been made in honor of the dedicated physicians who serve the people of Hood County with compassion and excellence.
The contribution is part of LGMC’s ongoing commitment to not only recognize the tireless efforts of its medical staff but also support the vital work United Way performs in the community. From providing emergency assistance to funding local health, education, and financial stability initiatives, United Way of Hood County plays an essential role in improving the lives of countless individuals and families.
Curt M. Junkins, CEO of Lake Granbury Medical Center, expressed heartfelt appreciation for both the physicians and the organization:
“Doctor’s Day is about honoring the incredible dedication and impact our physicians have every day. We are proud to recognize their service by supporting United Way of Hood County—an organization that consistently steps up for our neighbors in times of need. This donation is a reflection of our shared commitment to building a stronger, healthier community for everyone.”
The Doctor’s Day donation serves as a reminder that healthcare extends beyond hospital walls, and that by working together—health providers, nonprofits, and community members—we can create lasting, meaningful change in Hood County.
