RN Residency Program
Our RN Residency program bridges the gap from nursing school to professional practice. A network of experienced nurses serve as coaches, preceptors and facilitators, supporting the RN resident’s transition into the nursing profession.
The RN Residency program is a 12 month program designed for first year nurses with an interest in acute care/med surg. Residents are engaged in group problem-solving activities, critical thinking exercises, hands-on skill practice and developing communication skills necessary for the transition from new graduate nurse to confident professional nurse.
Applications for each residency cycle will be posted on Lake Granbury Medical Center’s career opportunities page several months prior to the program start date. Applicants must have RN licensure from the State of Texas prior to the residency start date, in addition to a current resume, an unofficial transcript, a brief essay and two letters of recommendation from clinical instructors.
