Pulmonology
The pulmonology department at Lake Granbury Medical Center provides a wide variety of diagnostic, preventive and treatment services for diseases that affect breathing and lung function such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Pulmonary doctors (pulmonologists) work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of specialists, including cardiologists, interventional radiologists, sleep medicine physicians, surgeons and other health care professionals to provide care for respiratory conditions such as:

- Cystic fibrosis
- Emphysema
- Lung cancer
- Pneumonia
- Pulmonary embolism and hypertension

Pulmonology Services
Pulmonary medicine specialists provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient breathing treatment services for various lung disorders and respiratory conditions, including:
- Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
- Bronchial hygiene therapy
- Diagnosis of lung disease or other pulmonary conditions
- Evaluation for home care needs, including patient education, and referrals for oxygen and respiratory therapy equipment
- Lung function studies
- Oxygen studies, including exercise, resting and sleep studies
